Quilted Memories finished!!

QM1
This quilt is a special quilt for my sister's in-laws - they just don't know it yet - it is a surprise for their wedding anniversary coming up this month.  This quilt was a combined effort between me and my mom.  The pattern is "Quilted Memories" designed by me. However, we decided to make the pictures a little bit larger in this quilt to really show off the family photos. Don't you think my mom...

Torture of all torture!

KEinmo1
So, I finished this quilt today.  Sadly, I cannot share the whole quilt with you yet, that is why it is torture for me.  The quilt is called Fire & Ice and is designed by Kimberly Einmo and you can watch for it in the Quilter's Newsletter Best Modern Quilts!  Fingers crossed it makes the cover, that would be fun!! It is always a pleasure to work with Kimberly, she is so talented.

Spring Wheels pieced by Lindsay revealed!!!

Spring Wheels full
Okay, this is my second project that I have quilted for Lindsay.  She is such a fun client to work with and her work is incredible.  Her piecing was so precise on this quilt.
I used Glide for the top thread and So Fine thread for the bobbin. It was a great combo - I have used it before, and I did not have any trouble with it. I used a combo of 100% cotton and 80/20 blend batting. I think it...

Pam's Science Fair quilt finished!!

1
Alright!  This quilt was so fun to quilt!  I loved every minute of this quilting job. Pam did a beautiful job piecing this quilt top - it was so straight, and the points were perfect! The pattern is Science Fair by Julie Herman of Jaybird Quilts- a very clever pattern and one that I would like to make for myself someday. The fabric used is called Flea Market Fancy by Denise Schmidt - so darling! I...

Helen's Quilt finished

Okay, first I have to apologize for not getting a picture of this whole quilt.  It was huge - really big.  And, by the time I was ready to take pictures I realized that it is possible that a certain 2 year old threw away my camera - ugh!  Anyway, you have to suffer through phone pictures on this one, sorry.

Something to share! A beautiful quilt story...

Lynette contacted me about a year ago to have one of her quilts finished by me. I am always honored to work on customer quilts and this one was no different.  It's funny, someone left a comment on my sneak peek of this quilt and mentioned that Kaywas quilting this exact same quilt. I couldn't believe it!! At first I was a little nervous about that thought. It is always heart wrenching to think...

If everyday were like yesterday.....

I would get a ton of stuff done! I managed to do laundry, clean the kitchen, play with the kids and start a quilt and finish it all in one day.  This will go down as one of the most productive days in my history.  The kids were great and since the weather is so incredible here, they played outside and did not need me every two seconds! It was a great day.  Anyway - on to the quilt...

Labor of love, it is finally finished.

Since it is International Quilting Day, it is totally appropriate that I post about a quilt that I have been quilting for the past little while.  I am so excited to share this quilt with you.  This is the second quilt that I have worked on for Thelma, you can see the first quilt I quilted for her here. It is always a blessing for me to be able to do what I like to do on a quilt and this quilt is...

Another finish for Beth!

bq1

I am always thrilled to quilt for Beth, she is a long time customer of mine and I always love her quilts. She is the applique queen and the colors of her quilts are always so fun. I asked her to tell me about this particular quilt and here is what she said:

This has been one of my favorite quilts.  It was a BOM called “Let’s Twist Again” by Sue Ross thru Material Obsession. It was a great...

Kimberly Einmo's Quilt, my first 2013 finish!

ke1
Yeah, that's right - Kimberly Einmo, can you believe she asked me to quilt a quilt for her? I'm still pinching myself. Every time I showed this quilt to friends and family while it was on the racks, I pulled out Kimberly's books and showed them how awesome she is. She is an author, teacher and quilter extraordinaire! This is her design and she is offering a class on this quilt called "Modular...
