Gypsy Simplified
So, you saw my latest post and my beautiful Gypsy quilt, I hope. If not, you can read all about it here. I made a second version of this quilt pattern because I realize that not everyone will be quilting the pattern like I did on the original quilt.
I also took out some of the smaller piecing; keeping the original block in tack, but taking out some of the extra work in the block. This version is also great for a stash busting quilt project. I needed 2 fat quarters for the main color in the block, then a small amount of fabric, or 1 fat quarter for the rest of the colors in the block.
I quilted this with my computerized quilting machine using my design, Feather Curl Border which can be found here for all you computerized quilters out there. While we are on that note, I now offer edge to edge computerized quilting, all that info can be found here.
The back of the quilt was fun to put together. I pieced some fat quarters together, then added some yardage. The texture is amazing!
So, whether you are looking for a quilt to do detailed quilting, or a quilt with simpler quilting on it, this pattern will work for both. I hope you enjoy both versions of Gypsy. It is available in PDF and paper versions.
