Marlene's Christmas Quilt
******Update******
Okay - since you all want to know the pattern - here it is in Marlene's own words:
"I started off with the pattern Anita's Christmas by Pearl Periera but
made numerous changes. The basic look of the quilt is the same but I
reduced it to 75% and changed half the blocks. Instead of the 6 angel
blocks in the pattern, I used some images from a panel by Nancy
Halvorsen and pictures I found in a magazine."
Sorry everyone, I didn't get a shot of the whole quilt - wish I did now because so many of you wanted to see the whole quilt.

Marlene from Canada did a beautiful job putting this quilt together. I am lucky to be the one to quilt it. She gave me the go ahead to do what I would like on the quilt, but did request holly and berry in the border.
This is what I came up with for the holly and berry. I totally love it. This quilt is on the smaller size and just this border took me over 5 hours. I traced in the holly and berries individually connecting each one with a couple loops. Then I filled it in with swirls and echoing.
I seriously can't get enough of this border! I love it!
This is the sash treatment - I wanted to echo the wavy gold frame in the blocks.
It feels so good to get a quilt done in 1 week - not 1 quilt done in 12 weeks like the last one. :)
