Spokane
So, this year has been crazy - so crazy that I haven't kept up with this blog. Not a new story, but I am sorry I have neglected you all out here in blogville. The above picture tells the story of my life for the past several months, this was the last quilt I finished for my next book, Secondary Quilting with Judi Madsen, which - hopefully will be out this fall. I will keep you updated on the exact date and pre-purchase opportunities, but in the meantime I hope you enjoy the sneak peek of Star X-ing, one of my favorite projects from my book.
I finished my book and submitted it to AQS with only days to spare before I left for the INMQ guild in Spokane, Washington where I taught 5 longarm classes and was treated like a queen for 2 and a half days. The ladies there treated me to sites around Spokane and the best dinners I have had in a long time. We went to The White House in Post Falls, Idaho where I ate Greek food for the first time - it was fabulous. We also went to a lot of other restaurants that were excellent. Thank you Anita, Beth, Susan and the other ladies whose names have escaped me - I am so sorry.
We walked around Downtown Spokane and this old mill was so fabulous - I had to take a picture of this alley way.
The clock tower and Spokane River were a hit.
My trunk show was so fun! I am always so grateful to each quilt guild that takes me in and treats me so well. We had some good laughs and I loved being able to share Bohemian and all of my other designs with them.
Typically during my teaching on the last day, I get a little slap happy and ditsy and the Triple PPP's in this quilting drawing is an example of my craziness. I really hope the ladies had a good time and here's a shout out to all of you from the INMQ guild who get this fun little joke.
I had a wonderful time, so grateful for the opportunities I get to teach and even though it is hard for me to leave my family - they are really supportive of me and encourage me to do my best. Plus, seeing the sunrise from a plane - that is pretty awesome.
Okay - so I figured I would do a little catching up on the blog with a few posts instead of a super long post - so stay tuned for all the catching up I am going to be doing in the next few days or weeks.
