Metro Medallion Finished.

Okay, first off - sorry about the lame presence here on the blog.  I have been so busy!  I can finally breath and hopefully will have more time to spend on here.  But, what a better way to come back to the blog than by sharing a finished quilt!?!

So, I have wanted to make a new quilt for my bed for a while. My mom made me a beautiful quilt 5 years ago and I have loved it and used it this whole...

My not so "Cinco De Mayo"

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade, right? Well, I am trying to take that approach to my life because I have realized that I have allowed a little too much negativity to creep in. So, I am finding joy in the journey and learning to laugh a little more when life doesn't go as planned. So, this is the story of my night tonight, I want to record it for me. It definitely was better experienced...

My Second Book is available for Pre-Order!

Secondary Designs with Judi Madsen
Okay, so this is getting real.  My second book, Secondary Designs with Judi Madsen was a labor of love, frustration, and down right exhaustion - but, I am happy to say it is in the editing process and is finally available as a pre-order.  It will be available in the Fall - hopefully September - I don't want to jinx myself by giving a specific date.  Y'all know how that went with my first book....

So, this year has been crazy - so crazy that I haven't kept up with this blog.  Not a new story, but I am sorry I have neglected you all out here in blogville.  The above picture tells the story of my life for the past several months, this was the last quilt I finished for my next book, Secondary Quilting with Judi Madsen, which - hopefully will be out this fall. I will keep you updated on the...

A little MIA going on here.

Hey everyone!  So sorry I have been a lame blogger as of late.  I have been extra busy with writing my second book and I just got back from a family vacation to Oceanside, California. It was a much needed break from my relentless schedule this past month.

I was hoping to keep this blog up, but it is so hard now. I am sure most of you know how hard it can be to keep everything up, especially...

Tree of Life Quilt

1
I have to tell you that I am pretty excited about this quilt. I also have to tell you that I didn't know anything about this quilt until after I had quilted it. This quilt is from an old kit, it has reference lines for the quilting and the scalloped edges that I disregarded and quilted the way that I wanted. Now, before you are all shocked that I didn't quilt the way the quilt was intended, Jeanna...

The quilt above is my friend Emily's. I always have so much fun quilting for her. Her quilts are fun, bright and...

Magenta Magic by Janet Knapp finished.

Okay, for those of you following me on Instagram and Facebook, you have been waiting 10 weeks for this reveal. No, it didn't take me ten weeks - I had trips in between and plenty of down time (meaning I am juggling a lot right now), but the quilt itself was on the frames for 10 weeks. So, ya - I am glad to finally have this quilt finished. Before you ask - I won't tell you how long this quilt took...
